Tasveer Maharaj, also known as Taz, is a Dubai-based multidisciplinary artist. His DNA series brings together ink, mixed media and deliberate drawn marks on paper, exploring the meeting of chance and control.
The works retain the bleeds, layers and natural texture of their making. DNA: The Code Beneath was presented at Avid Learning in Dubai in 2026. Each selected work is an original on paper, presented unframed in a mat board casing.
A deliberate net of fineliner marks meets loose poured ink and downward drips, exploring the balance between patient control and release.
