Tamer Karam
Tamer Karam (b. 1996) is a visual artist from Kamuning, Quezon City, whose practice spans painting, mixed media and installation. His work examines how images, language and objects shape our responses to human rights, social inequality and power.
His first solo exhibition, Social Anesthesia (2021), explored media saturation, desensitization and the possibilities of dialogue. His second, May Lakan Diyan / The King is There, examines colonial legacies and political power in the Philippines. This exhibition context draws on Dominic Zinampanโs essay, Even Empires Crumble.
